Living Arrangements

This house sits in the middle of all this water.  The only way to get to it is to wade through the water.  Everytime they go home, they get wet, everytime they leave from home, they get wet.  (Again these are from my phone camera, excuse the low quality...)

Wow! Those are some crazy living arrangements lol. So is this just one family that lives there or is this more common in the Phillipines? Interesting, thanks for sharing!

My goodness! Is the land there wet year round? Did they build the house in the water, or did the water come later? Looks like it's on stilts. I wonder how deep the water is, or how long the stilts are? Definitely makes me curious!

Stedfast: There is just one family in this house as far as I know. It is not very common in the area that I live, but people build a "house" anywhere they can. I saw one little hooch built in the supports of a billboard, high off the ground!

Angie J: This particular body of water seems to be there all year. I really don't know why they built there, it is a squatter's colony, so wherever you can build, you do!

Thanks for commentting!
